Developing precise, reliable instruments to measure individual student, school and district progress in getting results requires expertise, equipment and time. So does validation district, state or national standards.
With stringent budgets, it is not feasible nor efficient for each district to divert human and fiscal resources to this massive, high priority task. That is why the Region V BOCES, using the consortium approach, offers services to all Wyoming districts in the area of school improvement.
The Region V Board of Cooperative Education Services operates a Center for School Improvement. (CSI) CSI has full-time expertise in curriculum, development, standards setting, surveying, testing and data analysis. This means that CSI can offer a variety of very important and strategic services at a minimum cost to local district and with an emphasis on local needs.
